The garden
Colorful, delicious, and open to all: The Flower Power edible garden is available for all guests to enjoy, inviting them to smell and taste the produce. Depending on the season, the natural garden offers a constantly changing array of colors, as well as strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and tomatoes. A rustic table with ample space for 10 people, along with a fire pit and seating, is provided.
The host
Ralf Bomberg, a trained fisherman and forester, lives on the property where the log cabins and the nest are located. Ralf is regularly on site and available to answer questions and address requests.
Experience nature
The "Mecklenburgische Seenplate" (Mecklenburg Lake District) reveals itself in all its diversity – with tranquil forests, lakes, wide fields and an impressive array of flora and fauna.

Zahren
Zahren is a small, quiet village nestled in the heart of the "Mecklenburgische Seenplatte" (Mecklenburg Lake District), ideal for those seeking relaxation in nature. Its proximity to the Müritz National Park makes it the perfect starting point for walks, bike rides, or short hikes.
Despite its tranquil location, there is also much to discover in Zahren:
A canoe rental right next door, a riding instructor in the village, a beekeeper, a small ceramics shop and an adventure workshop for children offer a variety of options, whether for families, active people or curious minds.
The Zahrener Hofsee lake, with a swimming area, sunbathing lawn, and jetty, is located 250 meters from the accommodation. Rowboats are available for rent, and fishing is possible; the host is the lake warden and will gladly provide information about fish stocks and effective fishing techniques.

Anyone with only a few days knows that in a lake-rich area, finding the right spots for their target fish isn't easy without local knowledge. The host is a passionate angler, knows the surrounding waters, and is happy to share his experience. This allows you to head straight to fishing grounds without a long search.
The Zahrener Hofsee, located right near the accommodation, is the closest fishing spot, and a rowboat is available. Those with a fishing license can purchase a guest fishing permit for this lake and all LAV waters. Fishing permits for neighboring lakes managed by the Berkholz fishery are available directly from the fisherman.
Those who do not possess a fishing license can purchase a tourist fishing license.
Anyone who wants to improve their chances of a good catch can book individual fishing guiding with Ralf on a donation basis.

Mushroom tours
Since the age of five, the host has been a mushroom finder – and sometimes just a seeker. He knows the surrounding forests well, and when the weather permits, many different mushrooms can be found, from which delicious meals can be prepared. For anyone who wants to delve into the world of mushrooms, Ralf offers introductory sessions and guided mushroom walks on a donation basis, where you will learn to identify and distinguish mushrooms yourself.
There are also a number of very good medicinal mushrooms that grow in our forests from October onwards. You can learn to identify them and take your own supply home.
Mushroom foraging excursions are generally possible from June until the first frost, depending on the weather. They do not take place during extended dry periods.
